Do you as owners understand how important it is that the person who does your horses teeth is properly qualified?

There is a terrific podcast on www.horsehour.co.uk explaining what qualifies someone to do your horses teeth.
We all have training in doing teeth at the Equine Veterinary centre and we have one of our vets Ellie Griffithss who has a particular interest in dentistry and has done the advanced dentistry courses, so she often is sent to deal with our problem cases.

We have also made the decision with advice from our legal advisors and insurers that we will only sedate for properly qualified equine dental technicians (EDTs) and/or people who are currently training for the qualification.

The training and associations that are recognised by DEFRA is British Association of Equine Dental Technicians (BAEDT) and World Wide Association of Equine Dentistry (WWAED).

Please do not be offended if the reception staff ask who your dentist is and if they are not on the list we will unfortunately have to refuse your sedation request.

We do only have your horses best interests at heart.
