One of our vets – Richard Coppack – has a Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology and 30 years experience. He is happy to see any case of skin disease in horses, including cases of itchy horses and mud fever that are not going away.
All investigations start with a horses’ history and are followed by tests such as coat brushings, samples for bacteria and fungi, blood samples, food elimination trials, skin biopsies and intra-dermal skin tests.
Typical costs range from £200 to £600 plus VAT for complete investigations.
